How to get the most out of a paper log
- 01Write the odometer every timeA date tells you when. Mileage tells you whether the next service is due. A log without mileage answers half the question.
- 02Be specific about partsBrand, part number, and fluid spec. It is the difference between repeating a good decision and guessing at it two years later.
- 03Keep the receipt with the rowStaple it, scan it, or photograph it. A record backed by a receipt is worth something at resale; one without is a claim.
- 04Log it the same dayThe sheet only stays accurate if it gets filled in while the car is still on the stands.
When the sheet runs out of room
BuildBay keeps the same fields per vehicle, works out what is due by date and by mileage, and keeps the receipts attached to the work they paid for.
